Dear Global Business Enthusiast,

Michael Michelini (@michelini) here. You’re getting this email because you requested my periodic thoughts on international business from Hong Kong.

[Edit: Actually, it’s possible that you’ve never gotten an email from me. Somebody might have just given you the link to this page, which is an online archive of an email that I sent to folks who had asked for it. If you’d like to get articles like this in your inbox, totally free, about once a week or two, give me your email address.]

This week: Money flow crackdowns, Chinese News Famous on Facebook, Best Bank in HK, and more

Seems people are still busier than ever post the trade show season. I know we’re all busy – but I’m starting to track which months everyone is busiest, April and May seem to be way up there!

Well if you’re in Shenzhen or Hong Kong and want to see me speak (on either side of the border) now’s your chance.

Listen to this week’s podcast

This week’s podcast we are doing something different – normally we’re all about operations, banking, logistics – we have some important talks on sales and marketing. Actually we can even say anyone in the world can benefit from this – Gilbert Joa shares a lot of strategies on lead generation and sales – but also helps us compare differences within Hong Kong from the rest of the world.

And thinking of opening a factory in Mainland China? Why you should still consider Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Supercharged News

And of course the “pitch” of the week – I’m working on a new book, China business workshop and have a first draft ready – it’s all about Mainland China business, straight business, no personal. If you’re interested in reading, reply to this email!
