The economic multiplier effect of the auto industry is huge – according to the Center for Automotive Research (the aptly named CAR), there are 1.7 million people directly employed in the industry and altogether almost 8 million total owe their livelihoods to it. This is a key component of the economic well-being of all of North America. Australia’s online grocery market is predicted to grow to $4.2 billion by 2023, according to figures released by IGD today. Over the next five years Australia will grow at a 15.3 per cent CAGR, taking market share from 2.1 per cent to 3.7 per cent.

Australia’s Commonwealth Bank is to pilot a new type of ‘smart money’ that can be pre-programmed with a set of conditions that define what it can be spent on, who it can be spent by and when it can be spent.
