Tak Lo, Director for R/GA Ventures

Specializing in early-stage team building, Tak has hired and led 1-20 person teams from across industries, including military, startups, banking, and venture.

Previously, he was Director at Techstars, where he grew the Techstars London $3m seed fund from inception. He has worked with over 50 companies from the Asian, European, and NYC startup communities angel investing, founding, and mentoring startups. Tak started his career in the US Army. He graduated from the London Business School and the University of Chicago.

Mike Bellamy, CEO, PassageMaker

Originally from Upstate New York, Mike moved to Asia in 1993 and is a China business advisor to both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. Interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNBC & Bloomberg.

Founded a boutique sourcing agency in China with 1 employee and 1 client back in 2002. PassageMaker Group now manages a 200 million USD supply chain (per annum, at time of writing) of goods flowing from China to the world.


Nick Hu, General Manager of Netconcepts Shenzhen office

Nick is a specially-appointed expert of Baidu certification, an expert of global cross-border e-commence association and certified by the Google analytics college. He has serviced a number of reputable enterprises such as EF, OPPO, China Taiping, CITS, Diandianzu.com and etc. He translated and compiled twobooks “Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics 3” and “Inbound Marketing”.


Chris Wieners, Managing Partner of Hogo Digital,

Hogo Digital is an agency that specializes in marketing strategy and execution for organisations throughout Asia Pacific.

His background includes previous marketing and branding work with Starwood Hotels and the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. Based in Macau, he manages a group of agency locations including Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.


Renaud Anjoran

Renaud is a co-founder and president of China Manufacturing Consultants (CMC), a consulting firm based in Shenzhen, China. CMC helps manufacturers and trading companies improve their operations.

He is also founder of Sofeast, a quality assurance company based in Foshan, China. The Sofeast team has been helping foreign buyers audit Chinese manufacturers and inspect the quality of their products since 2007.

Neil Woodfine

Neil is COO and co-founder at Remitsy, a platform for businesses to make payments to their Chinese suppliers.

Based in Beijing, Neil originally worked in China’s manufacturing industries. After becoming increasingly convinced of blockchain technology’s potential to solve the payment issues in China export, he hopped over into the fintech world and started work on Remitsy in 2015.

Currently, Mea is working  on her second Masters degree in Global Entrepreneurial Management through the University of San Francisco where she is  living and interning in Spain, Taiwan & California. Nora Joy Wilson, Co-founder WrittenChinese.com

Originally from Wisconsin, Nora has lived and worked on 4 continents. She has resided in China since 2009 and currently manages a portfolio of over a dozen mobile apps at a Hong Kong-based tech company. She has developed a clear process that demystifies collaboration between developers, designers, and project managers regardless of location.

Kim Leitzes

Kim Leitzes is the founder of ParkLU, an influencer marketing platform connecting consumer brands with WeChat, Weibo and video content creators in China. After moving to China in 2010, Kim successfully built a digital marketing agency specializing in content and social for cross-border e-commerce, working with Fortune 500 companies and SMEs.

Realizing the effectiveness (and challenges) of influencer engagement in China, Kim decided to combine data-driven technology with community know-how, so brands and influencers can find the perfect fit. Furuzonfar Zehni, Regional Director of Jefferson Trust

Mr. Zehni has the Silk Road in his blood – born in Tajikistan, lived in Middle East, China and Russia, he epitomizes the cross-border and international. Furuzonfar wears many hats, an Associate at Fresco Capital, with over 40 companies all over the world, the Regional Director of Jefferson Trust with assets under management of $1 billion. Previously, Furuzonfar was with Ernst & Young Shanghai, and before that Convoy Financials.

Furuzonfar graduated the University of Hong Kong with a degree in Economics and Finance (Hons). In his free time he supports initiatives that empower and develop cultural and economic diversity through the Shahidi Foundation, which he is a fellow in.


Charles Ng, Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Invest Hong Kong

Mr. Ng manages divisions that is responsible for helping overseas and Mainland companies establish/expand their business presence in Hong Kong. His teams are responsible for Financial Services, Innovation and Technology, Information and Communications Technology among others.

He leads the StartmeupHK programme which aims to promote Hong Kong as a premier startup destination in Asia. Charles has extensive experience in the private sector, having worked for companies in the manufacturing and trading sectors, as well as for multinationals in the financial services and banking across the globe. He also has experience setting up and managing his own business and running a major international chamber of commerce in Hong Kong.

Mr Ng speaks English, French, Cantonese, Putonghua, Hakka and Creole, and holds an MBA degree.

Most likely you will need a Chinese visa to enter China. Americans, Europeans, mostly everyone needs one. We have partners who can help you with the processing of your China visa, or you can find a service provider of your choice.

We can issue attendees a business invitation letter if you need it. Please email [email protected] for more information!

Because this is an international conference, it will be in the English language. We will also have simultaneous translation from English to Chinese for the Chinese attendees at the conference. Yes, we’re in China and we’re hosting the event in English – yup, we want to be special! China really wants to be open to the international market, and it is conferences like this that make that happen.

There are a few hotels nearby the conference, here are a couple: DayHello and 7 Days Inn.
You will most likely need to get a China visa to come to Mainland China. You can apply before you leave your home country, or if you plan to spend a few days in Hong Kong before coming to China, can apply there. We wrote up a complete guide here on getting a China visa.
