Bionic Brew Taproom


We are currently in our third taproom in the Baishizhou village of Shenzhen. The first two were very successful but shut down by local police for being too… different I guess you could say.

Although we’re most famous for making great beer we also make our own beer cocktails, moonshine drinks, Yerba Maté Soda, and Kombucha. The non-alcoholics are either on draft or in bottles depending on the week and if any empty tap handles are available.

Our Baishizhou taproom is about a 5 min walk north from Baishizhou subway station exit A. Walk straight up Shahe Jie and once you get to a long white wall that guards a huge construction site you’ll see many restaurants on the right side of the road. There’s one strip on the right side with a white tile floor and no cars on this road and many BBQ type restaurants. We’re in there next to NYPD Pizza and Peko Brewing is next door.

Google Maps doesn’t work so well in China but if you type “Bionic Brew” into Baidu Maps, WeChat, or Didi/Uber we come up right at the pin drop.

Bionic Brew Brewery

Almost all of our ingredients are imported (except for the heavily filtered water). Hops and yeast come from the United States, malts from Europe and New Zealand, and fruits, spices, and teas come from our province or greater China. We like to work with local suppliers and local ingredients as much as possible but the core ingredients are tough to find locally because craft beer is such a new industry. As more interesting local options become available we always add them to the recipes.
