Amazing Time at the VIP Mastermind in Cross Border Summit 2018

On Thursday April 18, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm we hosted our first CBS mastermind session for VIP ticket holders.

What is the CBS Mastermind?

CBS is Cross Border Summit

Mastermind is a round table with other business owners in your area of expertise, in our case cross border business.

So – CBS Mastermind together is a perfect combination of taking top minds that are attending the Cross Border Summit and putting together an exclusive half day (or however long you’d like it to be – we may extend it in the future) event where you get to connect with others in the industry, learn from them, share your experience, and ask challenging questions about your business and theirs.

The CBS Mastermind Format

During these sessions we structured it the following way

Took our top speakers – this time it was 4 speakers as below, all in from overseas:

Danny McMillan, host of Seller Sessions (and former musician)

Will Tjernlund, an Amazon FBA expert (and machine!)

Brian Johnson, Founder of PPC Scope (and Amazon PPC rockstar!)

Anthony Lee, COO of Six Leaf (and an all around awesome dude!)

We then put them in different rooms at the venue, round table style. Click on the air conditioning, tea time, some water and snacks, and started.

Our Formula For Mastermind Success

There are a few ways you can do a mastermind – but for this summit, people wanted to meet as many speakers and other Amazon FBA seller experts in this one of a kind experience as they could. So we rotated the tables.

What does that mean?

So the half day session was 4 hours. We put a tea break in the middle, so for 3 and a half hours, you had about 45 minutes in each table (for a total of 4 tables.

People really enjoyed this format as it was a good amount of time with each expert, and also an amazing chance to meet other VIP ticket holders in this pre-event.

What Is The Mastermind Event At The Cross Border Summit All About?

Many have been asking – what is this mastermind you’re doing the day before the official start of the third annual Cross Border Summit. We have hosted masterminds in the past (see our overview of what is a mastermind here https://www.globalfromasia.com/mastermind/ ) and the idea is the same. Here’s our twist and application for the VIP ticket holders of the Cross Border Summit:

We have 4 hosts at each table – Danny McMillan, Brian Johnson, Anthony Lee, and Will Tjernlund. Each mastermind attendee will be assigned one of these tables for their afternoon session.

The sessions start at 2pm, and you will go to your designated table with mastermind host (from the 4 above). For the rest of the afternoon, you will work together in the intimate table of no more than 6 people on your business growth. Each participant will have an equal amount of time at the table to share about their business, their challenges, their opportunities. After the mastermind participant has shared their business situation, the rest of their designated time will be when the magic happens! The host of the mastermind table, along with the other participants, will give feedback, as more clarifying questions, and dive deep into the business “nuts and bolts”.

What language will the conference be in?

Because this is an international conference, it will be in the English language. We will also have simultaneous translation from English to Chinese for the Chinese attendees at the conference. Yes, we’re in China and we’re hosting the event in English – yup, we want to be special! China really wants to be open to the international market, and it is conferences like this that make that happen.

Do I need a China visa?

Most likely you will need a Chinese visa to enter China. Americans, Europeans, mostly everyone needs one. We have partners who can help you with the processing of your China visa, or you can find a service provider of your choice.

How Do I Get A China Visa?

You will most likely need to get a China visa to come to Mainland China. You can apply before you leave your home country, or if you plan to spend a few days in Hong Kong before coming to China, can apply there. We wrote up a complete guide here on getting a China visa.
